I’m not a dog person. I know this is a bit of blasphemy, in a city like Victoria, filled with dog lovers and strutters.
I do enjoy meeting many dogs, however.
Dog watching has its charms.
Part of the appeal is that it often merges into people watching. I caught these two matching hair styles walking home.
Then there are the dogs that make you stop for a second look. Like this one “sitting on top of the world,” as Ol’ Blue Eyes might sing it.
Or this one brought to a local dog park, to scare up some attention.
This mutt was a “plant”, a battery operated pal that drew few real dog friends.
Dog watching, of course, can reach its zenith at a dog show.
My favorite dog watching moments though, are when I spotted dogs doing the watching.
These two could have been filming a road trip buddy film.
Finally, there’s the dog watcher’s dog…
